Best Toyota Harrier year to buy in Kenya

Generations at a glance

• **XU60 (older)** — cheaper entry; fewer ADAS features; check age-related wear.
• **ZU60 / ASU60** — common import sweet spot; strong parts support in Nairobi.
• **Latest facelift** — higher buy-in; better safety kit and resale among premium buyers.

Sweet spots

Many Nairobi buyers target **2017–2020** hybrids for features vs price, or **2015–2018** petrol if budget is tighter.

Duty angle

Engine size and year affect CRSP-based duty. Run estimates for your exact year before you fix a budget.

Buy on condition, not year alone

A well-maintained 2016 beats a neglected 2019. Prioritise service history and honest mileage over the newest plate.
